At BrauBeviale 2014, a trade fair for beverage technology, the KeyKeg Slimline won a German Packaging Award in the industrial category. This is one of Europe’s most prestigious honors for packaging innovation. The German Packaging Institute has organized this award since 1949 under the auspices of the ministry of economic affairs and energy. KeyKeg chief financial officer Anita Veenendaal accepted the award on behalf of the KeyKeg team, thanked the judges and gave a brief presentation on the company’s ambitions for growth.
This prestigious award is presented to just 20 companies each year, and this year there were more than 2,250 entries from all over the world. The judges of the German Communications Design award selected KeyKeg Slimline 20 as the winner in the packaging category, which is judged on such criteria as durability, functionality, branding and user friendliness.

The German Design Council is a 30 member international panel of judges that spent two days considering submissions for the awards, which were established in 1953 by the German Design Council, an independent body and internationally active institution that has worldwide success promoting high-quality design.
