We will get to the specs and what makes the new location cool, but as always, the coolest part of any expansion is knowing your roots and staying local — this was important to RiverWalk Brewing Co. founders Steve and Betsy Sanderson.

“We love the community we’re in and they have been so supportive. We wanted to stay here,” they stated. “We had options and offers from other places, but we found a local location that is perfect for our vision.”

New Brewery At a Glance

  • Location: 40 Parker St. Newburyport, Mass.
  • Size: 20,000 sq. ft. space / 3,000 sq. ft. taproom
  • Features: Outdoor biergarten, event space
  • Opening: Summer 2017

The new location, still in Newburyport, will feature 12 taps lines, an outdoor biergarten, lawn games and a private event space. A 3,000 sq. ft. taproom will provide customers with the full brewery experience, serving flights and pints of their complex, drinkable craft beers.

Another benefit of the new facility is increased production, up to 10 times their current output. The significant boost in variety and availability will allow RiverWalk Brewing Co. to expand their reach throughout Massachusetts and beyond.
