Take a load off, craft brewer! It’s Friday afternoon. Yep, time for some Friday Fun. This time, we keep it more business-oriented with a killer trailer for the upcoming Craft: The California Craft Beer Documentary. Some may call California the home of craft beer. Not a true believer? Check out these numbers from the California Craft Brewers Association’s conference recap:
- There are now more than 550 independent, craft breweries, and projections have it at 600 total by the end of the year,
- There are 107 operational brew houses in San Diego County, and
- In 2014, craft beer made an economic impact of $6.5 billion, California ranking No. 1 with $4.7 billion.
There is definitely a lot to talk about when it comes to California craft beer, and from the look of the trailer above, the filmmakers have found the right people to talk to. There are a few Craft Brewing Business regulars in there: Sierra Nevada, Mammoth Brewing and Stone Brewing, just to name a few.
