Abstrax’ Kindred Craft event brought flavor tech straight to the customer

Abstrax has launched a new on-site promotional event, called Kindred Craft, to educate drinkers on the innovative flavor products they have cooked up. This new annual tradition is designed to unite brewers, partners, and craft enthusiasts around the future of flavor.

The inaugural Kindred Craft took place September 10 at UPP Liquids, Pub & Fermentations in Bend, OR. The event is both a community night for fans while also highlighting Abstrax’ partnership with UPP.

“Bend is the first stop, but the plan is for Kindred Craft to rotate to different breweries each year and grow into a true traveling series,’ their team tells us.

Highlights included:

  • Interactive dosing station featuring Abstrax’s advanced flavor technology
  • Live music from local favorite Broken Top Bluegrass
  • Classic brewery-style games and raffles

The dosing station is a hands-on way for guests to try Abstrax flavors. Brewers love it for R&D, but it’s super fun and approachable for enthusiasts too. They set up beers/NA bases and let people add a drop or two of flavor so they can experience it in real time.

“Kindred Craft is about more than great beer – it’s about creating space for connection,” said Nathan Smith, Senior VP of Sales at Abstrax. “Brewing has always been rooted in community, and this event reflects both that tradition and our passion for pushing flavor science forward.”

Abstrax Hops’ Quantum Brite is a hop extract that the company thinks can transform the brewing industry. It offers a true-to-type, water-soluble hop extract that has been built entirely for aroma, not alpha acids, merging the best of traditional brewing elements with modern innovation.

“This groundbreaking product is designed for purists who value traditional ingredients like hops, malt, and wheat, yet are open to embracing new, efficient brewing methods,” said Jim Ringo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Abstrax Hops. “Quantum Brite is the first affordable advanced hop product solution in the brewing industry.”

Abstrax Hops also developed the BrewGas Series. Unlike traditional additives, these advanced terpene formulations integrate effortlessly into brewing workflows—no extra steps, no yield loss, just pure, high-impact flavor.

“The response to the original BrewGas Series has been phenomenal, and we’re excited to bring these five new profiles to market,” said Ross Hunsinger, Brand Director at Abstrax Hops. “Brewers want to create beers that stand out, and BrewGas delivers the dank, gassy, and citrus-forward flavors that pair perfectly with hops.”

Abstrax Hops expanded its terpene-powered, TTB-approved Skyfarm Series. This fruit flavoring line now boasts six new flavors. This doubles its portfolio to 12 vibrant options designed for brewers and beverage manufacturers alike. The new lineup includes Clementine, Grapefruit, Honeydew, Kiwi, Passionfruit and Raspberry. Each is crafted to add refreshing, fruit-forward profiles to beer, seltzers and more.
