A new Hollywood crossover between craft beer and coffee is hitting shelves, led by actor Tom Holland’s non-alcoholic beer brand BERO and Robert Downey Jr.’s coffee company happy. The pair have teamed up to release two limited products: BERO Coffee Draught and happy Eternal Hoptimist ground coffee. Both items will be available online and as a limited exclusive at Target. This partnership builds on each founder’s recent beverage work. Holland cofounded BERO NA beer late in 2024. Downey cofounded happy in early 2024. From the press release:
“This is the kind of collaboration you can only do with a friend,” said Tom Holland. “Robert knows coffee better than anyone, and we wanted to bring that same level of care to a beer that celebrates what both our brands stand for: quality, craft, and a premium experience in every sip.”
What the collab includes
- BERO Coffee Draught (≤0.5% ABV): A smooth, coffee-forward draught. Expect cocoa, gentle roast, and a creamy nitrogen mouthfeel. It aims for a stout-like profile without alcohol removal.
- happy Eternal Hoptimist ground coffee: A 100% arabica blend from Brazil and Colombia. The roast targets balance with citrus and pine notes, nodding to hop character. It remains alcohol-free.
Both products ship from brand sites and will appear as a limited exclusive at Target. You can buy both items at berobrewing.com and happyproducts.com. Target will carry the collaboration nationwide in limited runs. Timing and inventory will vary by location.
A quick refresher on BERO
BERO is Holland’s non-alcoholic beer brand. He cofounded it with CEO John Herman, with support from Imaginary Ventures and WME. Veteran brewmaster Grant Wood leads production. The brand centers on brewing NA beer without stripping alcohol post-fermentation. That approach aims to preserve aroma, body, and foam. BERO uses a maltose-negative yeast to cap fermentation under 0.5% ABV. The yeast ferments simple sugars but leaves larger chains for body. This avoids vacuum distillation or membrane filtration. Pilot work ran at the Siebel Institute, with yeast development support from Lallemand Brewing’s LalBrew LoNa.
BERO’s core lineup

- Kingston Golden Pils: A crisp, European-style pilsner named for Holland’s hometown. Clean bitterness. Bright finish.
- Edge Hill Hazy IPA: A juicy, New England-style IPA. Tropical fruit leads. Soft bitterness.
- Noon Wheat: A cloudy wheat beer with a citrus finish. Smooth and sessionable.
All three beers sit at or below 0.5% ABV.
Distribution and price
BERO has expanded quickly in mainstream retail and e-commerce.
- National: Target carries six-packs and a variety 12-pack. Typical pricing is $11.99 for six-packs and $21.99 for the variety 12-pack.
- Online: Available direct from BERObrewing.com and major e-commerce channels.
- Regional growth: Southern California placements include Sprouts, Albertsons Vons Pavilions, Gelson’s, Total Wine, and BevMo. Stone Distributing supports on-premise coverage in the region. Additional convenience and delivery partners include Gopuff.
Availability varies by market and retailer.
Takeaway for independent breweries

NA demand keeps rising. Coffee-beer hybrids still draw interest. Nitro can add perceived richness to a brand. Retailers will support NA if quality and velocity stay high. Suggestion: Track how the Coffee Draught performs beyond the initial drop. Then, expect more mainstream retailers to test NA sets across seasons. We’ll keep you updated on more interesting collabs and ideas (NA and beyond) for your craft brewery.
