If we’re counting number of posts, Saint Arnold Brewing Co. might have the most clever brewery channel on YouTube. Right now, the Houston, Texas-based brewhouse (named after the patron saint of beer) has a whopping total of five videos on its channel, most of which will make you shart. Their latest post (five days ago) is probably the best version of the Harlem Shake we’ve seen. The brewery overview is ridiculously inventive, scored to instrumental hip-hop (the freeze frame on second 36 is priceless). “We’re Texas’ oldest craft brewery,” ponders the narrator. “We think that’s pretty cool, because that means we outlasted the three that opened before us.”
Perhaps the funniest clip is above, where customers just can’t seem to pronounce Saint Arnold’s popular black Kölsch brand correctly — Santo — and the brewery goes undercover to show the results. CBB calls on Saint Arnold to produce more of these videos. They’re a goldmine of viral marketing. The video above has nearly 4,000 hits. To put that into perspective, this expensive art house film from Deschutes, which we previewed last Friday, only has 1,600 views. Saint Arnold’s Harlem Shake video has north of 12,000 views. Guys, keep posting.
