Ohio tax credits resurrects brewery plans

The scales of justice continue to tip in favor of craft brewers as Ohio is pushing for $1 million in tax credits to turn the Eden Park Pump Station in Cincinnati, Ohio, into a brewery. According to Cincinnati.com, the renovation project was just one in seven Southwest Ohio that received a combined $8.8 million worth of tax credits from the Ohio Development Services Agency.

Ohio_law_breweryThe Eden Park Pump Station project would total $5.2 million and create 40 construction jobs and 13 permanent jobs. The group is being spearheaded by Jack Martin, architect, who hopes to repair the pump station and brew a variety of craft beers for local distribution. In addition, Cincinnati.com reports that The Cincinnati Beer Co. also hopes for a tap room.
