In a frothy finale to 2023, the Beer Institute has poured out some tasty info on December domestic tax paid estimates. It’s clear that the country’s thirst for quality, variety and innovation in the beer sector remains unquenched — but there is a little less thirst than before — as the sector continues to decline. The unofficial estimate of domestic tax paid shipments by beer brewers for December 2023 is 11,700,000 barrels or bbls, which is a decrease of 2.5 percent compared to December 2022 removals of 11,996,258 bbls.
It’s all apart of the ups and downs of the booze industry. So, whether you’re a lager lover, an ale admirer or just someone who enjoys a cold one, the domestic tax paid estimates are a reminder that in the world of beer, there’s always something brewing.
